PLAYWRIGHT SIMON STEPHENS AT FINAL PERFORMANCE OF PUNK ROCK ON SUNDAY MARCH 11TH
Chicago, IL, February 22, 2012 – The Griffin Theatre Company is pleased to announce that it has extended the run of its American Premiere of British playwright Simon Stephens’ play, PUNK ROCK. The extension will continue through the following weekend with a new scheduled closing date of March 11, 2012. Additional performances will be Friday and Saturday, March 9 & 10 at 7:30pm., and a Sunday matinee on March 11 at 4:00pm.
The final performance on March 11th will include a post-play discussion immediately following the performance with playwright Simon Stephens and members of the creative team behind PUNK ROCK. The play directed by ensemble member, Jonathan Berry continues the Griffin’s exploration of Stephens’ work having previously produced the American premieres of his plays, ON THE SHORE OF THE WIDE WORLD and PORT.
Tickets to PUNK ROCK are $34 for performances on March 9 & 10, 2012. Tickets for the Sunday, March 11 matinee at 4:00pm are $40 and (which include the post play discussion with Simon Stephens) are on sale now.
