Lynda began her affiliation with Griffin Theatre in 2009, touring with Letters Home (ensemble) and Frindle (Mrs. Granger). Since moving to Oak Park from Cleveland, Ohio, in 1987, Lynda has been acting, improvising, and teaching ever since. She co-created and performs in The Spew, an improvised parody of TV’s The View. Lynda can currently be seen in a recurring role in the web series The Dreamers, and played Miss Prism in Oak Park Festival Theatre’s The Importance of Being Earnest this past summer. She played Sister in the long-running Late Nite Catechism for many years. She has worked with the Noble Fool Theater (Flanagan’s Wake, Don’t Drink the Water, Roasting Chestnuts, The Baritones, and Psychic Café), and was a co-founder of the Free Associates, (Cast on a Hot Tin Roof, As We Like It, Blithering Heights, and more). She studied improv at the Second City Training Center, and has worked with ComedySportz, The Comedy Shrine, Zeitgeist Theatre, the Improv Institute and the Chicago Improv Festival. TV/Film: Trading Spaces, special prank episode; independent films Teenage Ghost Punk, Dear Mr. Fidrych, Dancing with Ernesto; and many student films and industrials. A former high school English and drama teacher, she has worked extensively with CAST, a performing arts program at Julian Middle School in Oak Park, as both a guest actor and director.
