Joey is an actor and scenic artist born and raised in the Chicago-land area. After graduating from Northwestern University in 2009 with BA in Theater he began working in Chicago at various theaters. While Joey helped the several Griffin members carry platforms out of a truck late one night in 2008 he first officially worked with Griffin Theatre performing the roles of Howie and Bud in Griffin’s touring show Frindle in 2009-10. Since then he has worked around Chicago doing both acting, scenic construction and fight choreography. Being an avid recycler Joey also works to find ways to make theater more environmental sound. Recent fight choreography credits include Steep Theatre’s Kill the Old, Torture Their Young (dir Katy Walsh) and Modofac Production’s You Took Away My Flag (dir. George Cederquist). Recent Acting Credits include Jimmy Deveraux in Griffin Theatre’s Stage Door (dir. Robin Wit), ensemble in Mary-Arrchie Theatre’s Cherrywood (dir. David Cromer) and Joe Brennan in City Lit Theatre’s Production of Lover’s (dir. Terry McCabe). Joey will be rejoining the cast of Frindle this year playing the role of Nick.
